support@pulseguardapp.com Frequently asked
Which heart-rate sensors are supported?
Any sensor that broadcasts the standard BLE Heart Rate Profile (service 0x180D, characteristic 0x2A37). This covers most chest straps, armbands and watches in Broadcast HR mode. Apple Watch is supported as a live source on iPhone.
Why doesn't my smart ring (Oura / Whoop / Ultrahuman) work?
Smart rings don't broadcast a live BLE heart-rate signal — they sync through their own apps with delay. PulseGuard needs a live BLE source.
Does it work with Fitbit?
No — Fitbit doesn't expose the standard BLE Heart Rate Profile. The same applies to AirPods Pro and Powerbeats Pro 2 with built-in HR sensors.
Can I use Apple Watch on iPad?
No — Apple only pairs Apple Watch with iPhone. On iPad, use a standard BLE chest strap or armband.
Is PulseGuard a medical device?
No. PulseGuard is a fitness tool. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any medical condition. Consult a qualified professional before changing your training.
